Meet Meagan Gray, Our New Nurse Practitioner

The Surgical Arts Centre is proud and excited to announce our newest addition to our practice, Meagan Gray, NP. Gray, a family nurse practitioner, will assist Dr. Clark Taylor with his pre-operation and post-operation patients as well as assist Dr. Lisa Pacheco with various treatments at the Medical Day Spa, including Kybella, SculpSure, Botox, and laser treatments.

“I love that everyone here has been so welcoming and the facility is so beautiful,” said Gray. “We strive for great customer service, everyone is so professional. I already feel like I am one of the staff.”

Gray grew up in North Dakota and earned an Associate of Applied Science in Practical Nursing degree from Dickinson State College in 2006. She then earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Presentation College in South Dakota before finally earning her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and officially becoming a family nurse practitioner, specializing in intensive care and pediatrics, in May 2016.

Gray moved to Billings, Montana, by chance eight years ago and has felt at home ever since. She loves to run, fish, and do anything outdoorsy along with her two dogs, an Australian shepherd mix and a bull dog.

“I love Montana,” she said. “The wide-open spaces, the views, the animals. There are endless things to do: floating, fishing, hiking with my dogs. It’s not very far from Seattle, it’s peaceful, and I love the people.”

Gray began working at the Surgical Arts Centre at the end of July and has been hard at work learning the ropes, getting to know the team, and training for various treatments and procedures.

“Starting work here has been a smooth transition so far–I have a lot more to learn, but I am excited,” she said. “One of the aspects I like most about my job is how life-changing procedures can be for patients, whether they are having sleep apnea surgery or rhinoplasty. I feel good about caring about them because it’s in my blood as a nurse.”

What Is A Nurse Practitioner?

A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse who has received an advanced degree that allows them to diagnose medical conditions, decide upon treatments, perform an array of procedures, prescribe medications, and give referrals to specialists. In Montana, nurse practitioners have the ability to work as an independent provider without the oversight of a physician.
